Russian Developers Buka Entertainment and Orion Games today announced The Hunt, a new FPS for the PC. Slated for presentation at GC 2007, the shooter takes place in a cataclysmic future where extreme laws keep society’s growing criminal element in place.

“The Hunt” is the pinnacle of radical anti-crime programs. It’s a TV show where governmentally-sanctioned gangs hunt down and kill one randomly selected citizen. It’s a story reminiscent of Manhunt, but developers say that, in this game, killing won’t be enough. Stealth is also important and special “stealth kill” moves are available to silently relieve your opponents of life. A fully destructible environment also means any object is a weapon. Bricks, a pipe, anything goes in The Hunt. Multiplayer modes like Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Survival will also be available.

We'll have more on The Hunt as details surface.
