Acclaim has revealed DANCE, the latest in their arsenal of free, online games, and it can be summed up in a single word: evil. Read on with caution, as the full press release follows:

Acclaim Games announces a free massively multiplayer online dancing game for your PC featuring the hottest music and coolest dance moves. DANCE! will be the first massively multiplayer online dancing game to be released in the US, matching millions of players against each other in dance battles across cyberspace.

DANCE! is targeted to music lovers and online gamers looking to tear up the virtual dance floor. Players will be in an interactive music video right on their PC. They'll be able to choose from an assortment of hair styles, facial features, clothing, and accessories to create completely customizable characters. The variety of customizing options will ensure that every character has its own unique identity to give them their own individuality and style.

By keeping in sync with the beat, players will be able to perfect their dancing skills that range from basic steps to the wildest club-style dance moves with amazing choreography. And all to the beat of their favorite tracks since DANCE! will also feature chart topping hits from the hottest music artists in the world. Music will be available in a variety of styles and genres offering something for every music fan.

As a multiplayer online game, players can also make new friends and compete in battles to see who can keep up. They can even go back and replay their own dance music video. One of the more unique aspects of the game is the couples system. In DANCE!, male and female characters can find their perfect mate, fall in love, enter couples competitions, and even get married.

With 24-years of experience in the video game development business David Perry, whose latest Matrix Movie related game projects grossed an estimated $300 million, is directing game development on DANCE! to make sure it appeals to the millions of online gamers hungry for a fun and addictive online dancing game.
